Chapter 3 Writing Accessible Course Content
In this chapter, we consider how course content (i.e. lecture notes) should be written for accessibility. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a primary source for what is expected. Particularly, the University aims for level AA compliance with this guidance.
Note that hand-written lecture notes are not accessible. There are several online tools which (to varying reliability) can convert handwriting to LaTeX using Optical Character Recognition. If you struggle to write LaTeX, we recommend using Equatio. This accesibility tool allows you to handwrite or dictate to it to produce mathematics formulated in LaTeX.
