2.1 About Windows

This guide assumes ability to navigate the operating system on the Univeristy’s Managed Windows Service. Specifically, you will be asked to open PowerShell terminals and the Command Prompt window.

To open the PowerShell Terminal, you can type "PowerShell" into the search bar at the bottom of your screen. You then open the piece of software, "PowerShell". Then, you type into the screen (or paste using Ctrl+V) and press enter when you are done.

To open the Command Prompt from your computer’s root folder, type Command Prompt into the search bar and open the suggested app. The user interface works the same as the PowerShell Terminal. To use BookML, you will need to open the command prompt from within a folder. This will be explained during the usage sectino of the guide.
